Reading the symptoms first
One slow outlet points somewhere different from several fixtures backing up at once. We use what the symptoms show to narrow down where the restriction sits, and our recommendation depends on which drainage is affected and the access available. Equipment is then picked to suit the pipe size, its bends and its condition.
When a blockage keeps coming back
Some blockages need nothing more than clearing the obstruction. Sometimes, though, the problem returns because material is left in the pipe, or because roots or damage keep catching waste. We separate the blockage in front of us from any underlying fault, and say when more cleaning, a camera inspection or a repair should come next.
Working while the building is in use
People often carry on living or trading in a property while its drains are being worked on. Open access points, contaminated water and any affected facilities are kept under control throughout, and the drainage is checked before we finish.
